Next, we explore the life of the Waldenses in the higher valleys. They fled the lower valleys to avoid persecution, and tried to establish a normal life from then on. However, their normal meant training missionaries, and tutoring the young on how to study and teach the bible in a harsh and unforgiving terrain. Through their well-trained children, younger people, and older people, they impacted the whole continent, spreading the gospel throughout Europe as missionaries ‘disguised’ as students and workers.
