It’s time to delve into the meaning of Magna Carta, and the tensions between King John and Pope Innocent III. The Magna Carta was signed in June 1215, just over 800 years ago, in Runnymede, and was a document that would have both civil and religious importance. The Magna Carta is one of the most important documents in history, yet many have never heard of it or read it in full. Its legacy has inspired liberty and freedom around the world, showing that no one is above the law.
