In this episode, we learn about Saint Bartholomew's Day Massacre – an extremely sorrowful and the most gruesome event to occur in the 16th century. In 1572, the bells sounded at night, and the dreadful slaughter began in Paris. In the absence of mutual respect and freedom of religion, this massacre marked possibly the lowest point for the Protestants in France as they were brutally killed.
